Here's the scoop.... I'm giving 10% off all my last one/last yard's of fabric. There are some great prints in there which are super hard to find and some popular ones.
Here is some more fabulous-ness from one of my customers, god I love them, my customers and there crafty fabulous-ness!!! I just wanted to reach out and fondle this clutch, I have seen then fabric before but have never seen it used and who would have guessed how well it works as a clutch. A+ for Julie!!!
Enough blah blah, well maybe a bit more, these little babies are made and sold by JulieVision on etsy. She will even make you a mullet tote...who would have guessed...Hope you enjoy.
For a limited amount of time and fat quarters.... this is the new free one, and you ask why the question mark. Well, this is originally a panel print, so making it into fat quarters doesn't always come out perfect, but it won't come in a puzzle.
This one will be great for picking, choosing, and cutting for your projects...if not its a great art piece..even if you get half and half!!!
I got some fabulous pictures from one of my super lovely customers, ecarlateboutique, there shoppe is a mother daughter team who hand-craft fabulous pillows that have a nice country feel to them. I love the way they use burlap in their pillows!!!!
I am now the proud owner of a whole &%$# load of vinyl, and its so pretty!!! Which i now have listed on etsy, well just one listing. I wanted to show what can be made...and super easy.
First I wanted something cute to put on the outside..so the easiest and fastest for me to draw was bones and hearts!!
Here are my scraps, the pouch measures about 6" long by 4" tall...so minimal vinyl was used!! I was a bit nervous with my singer, which is a very basic machine, but it took it like a pro and didn't fuss or break a needle.
As I was poking around in my numerous catalogs, I found a company that made the most fabulous patterns...sublime stitiching.... but they were for embroidery, which I have never tried, so I read the blog and some of the tutorials and thought I could do this too. Now its like crafting crack to me, in a week I have done at least 5 different things, and am patiently waiting for more patterns in the mail...which I will now offer in my store...maybe on etsy maybe not.
I can't tell you how easy this is.....and how much fun, now I don't feel bad in front of the tv anymore.
This is my very first one, kinda my sample of stitches with some free hand action!!!
Number two!!!!
I finished this one the same night I did the birds.
I got tired of flowers!!! I wanted more funk.
My favorite, I actually did the brain last night with an eyeball!!
I am doing my first sewing class today, I normally have someone else come in and do it, so I can still work. But its my turn now. I normally don't use patterns and just make them up myself, I had a request for a bag with a flap/strap and more... So I did a mini tester...here it is
oh the amazing things you can do with fabric.... this is my sewing area in my shoppe, in the before picture there was this funky black I wanna be velvet but I was to cheap to pass, from the previous frame shoppe.
I was too lazy to paint, I have painted enough this last year, that I can still smell the fumes if I think real hard. After that fabulous-ness was removed I was ready to go...liquid starch in various application methods...spray bottle, spray from the can, and the full on paint set up ( roller and tray).
I found using multiple methods kept me from cursing up a storm and saved my arms... the easiest way to do this is tack the fabric a inch more than what you need to the wall (both top and bottom..until you get to know your weapons, fabric and starch).
Then get a good spray under the top of the fabric, then start rolling, spraying, rolling, spraying and so forth till you finish the first piece...then cut and move to the next piece... then wah lah in a few hours you have everything done and have to wait for it to dry...then if you have bubbles break out the spray and go over the bubbles that didn't love you.... if you are brave and have a big ladder, take a razor blade and cut the top off to make an even line. which i wasn't able to acheive, but i think it gives it a nice ...nobody is perfect look!!!
then admire and tell everyone how eco friendly you are...and how you can remove the fabric when you are sick of looking at it, wash it and find another use!!!!
